Slow Down and Enjoy the Journey

What is our rush?

I mean honestly…we’re all in a rush to get somewhere or achieve something that we aren’t even too sure about for ourselves. We all have these preconceived ideas about what our lives are supposed to look like by a certain age: how much money we should be making, what your career should look like, when to get married, when to have kids, saving enough for retirement, buying a house etc. But that’s exactly what they are, ideas. You can conjure up as many ideas as you want about what your life will reflect in the future, but if it cripples you in the present moment, that is a sign you should take a step back.

It’s not about reaching a destination, it’s about what you learn on the way there. When we’re constantly focused on the next big thing in our lives we will never truly be satisfied. Surrendering to the present moment, without losing sight of our intentions and goals, will help pave a clearer and more authentic journey. Success is impossible without gratitude. In order to achieve more you must believe that what you already have is enough. When you visualize your future, it is important to understand that you don’t just get things, you must become the person who is capable of not only attaining your dreams, but also, sustaining them.

We must take accountability for our actions, no matter what they are. We must use every single day as a tool to get to know ourselves better and become our own best friends.

The only person who is going to lead you the future of your dreams is yourself, and the only way it is going to happen is if you are willing to nurture every single moment as if it is the best moment of your life.  No matter the circumstances, you must enhance your patience and become of service to yourself and others.

Whatever you’re working towards is coming, one way or another. Eliminate any attachment to these ideas and open your mind to work with what is already right in front of you to create something even greater.

If you’re not happy with where you are at in your life right now there is one humble solution. Simply, be happy. Everyday spent dwelling on what you don’t have is a day wasted. A day wasted on building your potential to receive all the boundless experiences the universe has in store for you. The only way to be open to receiving these gifts, and opportunities, you must cultivate your senses in every present moment. Make your awareness a priority. If you use every single present moment to your advantage you will soon realize that everything you ever wanted was already inside of you, and now you are only attracting more.

Stop counting the days as they go by and start losing track of time. Surrender to the present moment, while having a clear mission in sight, and let everything happen on its own agenda. Divine timing.

If we treat life like a race, we will suffer. If we lose focus on our journey because we are too caught up on someone else’s, we will suffer. If we become attached to any idea or entity, we will suffer. We will suffer if we don’t make the present moment our home. It is plain and simple.

Things to remember when you go to far into the future

Everyone’s journey is different.

Your life will become a reflection of your intentions.

Don’t let time discourage you. It is never too late.

The universe has BIGGER plans for you. Don’t settle.

Surrendering brings answers.

Know that you don’t know everything.

Stay focused but not attached.

Find gratitude.

Be happy.

Namaste my beautiful people
